Hammersmith & Fulham parents choose local primary schools to provide an excellent education and life opportunities for their children
In addition to thanking parents, we would like to thank the children in our schools for the diversity and richness they bring to their academic communities, to each other and to the lives of those who teach them. We are certain that they feel honoured to be able to help you learn and grow into curious, capable, sensitive young adults.
Hammersmith & Fulham primary schools are doing a great job and are consistently improving. Standards are rising and parental satisfaction is higher than ever. Rather than compete, all of our schools work together to better the educational opportunities provided for our community’s children. We want to openly celebrate all of the riches that an inclusive school brings to those involved with them. Too often the celebration of our schools is lacking, and it is our wish to raise our voices together to celebrate all that our schools offer.
If we need further school places in order to expand the benefits of our educational provision we feel that energy, philosophy and funding should be directed into expanding current provision, rather than funnelling it into experimental ventures like Free Schools. Historically Hammersmith & Fulham has offered tremendous support to its schools, and we ask them to prioritise joining with us now to celebrate, promote and support local schools.
If you are looking for a place for your child, we ask that you visit your local primary school and speak to the Head. See the school for yourself and ask for information on how happy current parents are. You will find out for yourself that parents overwhelmingly value the schools their children are attending. Your local primary is likely to be the great school you really want and you can probably make it even better by getting involved with the PTA, by becoming a volunteer or joining the Governing Body.
Also, if your children are getting older don’t forget that Hammersmith & Fulham has excellent secondary schools as well – OFSTED rates them all as Good or Outstanding.
